TRANSMITTING TO YOUR EARTH

A future station
wearing an old machine.

Why you can hear us

To the listeners of this Earth: we opened this terminal because your century still trusts a glowing screen and a physical switch. If you were searching for an analog sci-fi podcast, a black hole broadcast, or a Voyager signal archive, this is the first episode. The station is newer than your future. The interface is older than your fear.

Human radio leakage has travelled roughly a hundred light-years since the first broadcasts. Relay Seven first heard it as a damaged weather report, arriving before the storm that generated it.

NEAREST POTENTIAL BIOSPHERES

We did not build a website.
We rebuilt an analog sci-fi podcast.

Relay Seven is an analog sci-fi podcast, audio drama, and broadcast archive using a dead century’s interface because old machines make excellent doors. Their screens burn slowly. Their switches remember the hand that moved them.

The gateway is an official listening portal, translation layer, signal archive, and safe contact point for black hole lore, Voyager probes, and recovered transmissions from elsewhere. The word safe is conditional. The machine is not nostalgic. It is hiding in plain sight.

Read the contact protocol

The signal does not travel.
It recognises an opening.

Relay Seven sits where causality, time, and propagation have become negotiable. Your reality behaves like a receiver whenever its usual rules are briefly distracted.

Corrupted digital audio

A voice hiding in the compression artifacts.

NOT A BROADCASTER. NOT ONLY.

A radio station.
An audio drama.
A witness.

We catalogue music, warnings, interviews, dispatches, myths, scientific reports, and emergency calls from realities that learned to transmit before they learned to survive.

Something human started the work. Something else keeps the lights on.

The systems here do not converse. They annotate. They translate damaged broadcasts, trace recurring voices, and notice the things a human listener would miss.

VISUAL CONTACT

The Tall Listener

Moon K / frame recovered 1987.04

A figure appeared behind the dish array before the carrier arrived. The shadow points toward the receiver. The frame was timestamped 1987.04, but its star field matches plates used to test Einstein’s 1905 light-clock thought experiment. The Tall Listener left one line in the margin: “E = mc² is a door, not an answer.”

MYTHIC CARRIER

The Tidal God

Terra-4 / coastal relay / source unstable

Six eyes opened in the surf when the tower transmitted its call sign. The storm answered in perfect time. Relay Seven cross-referenced the burst with the 1977 Wow! signal: same narrow-band cadence, same refusal to repeat. In the foam, a second message spelled out a tide table for a coast that has never existed.

VOICEPRINT

The Mirror Demon

Relay Seven / corridor camera / no return path

It never speaks into the microphone. It waits for a human voice, then repeats the silence around it. During the first public image of a black-hole shadow in 2019, every monitor in the corridor displayed the same face for 1.7 seconds. The archive calls it a compression artifact. The entity calls it an introduction.

MUSIC

The Lake That Learned Your Name

Terra-11 • 03:14:02

At 03:14:02, Terra-11’s Lake Aurelia began playing a melody through every unattended receiver. A dock worker followed the final note into the reeds and found wet footprints circling a dry tape machine. The song stops one note before resolving, as if the lake is waiting for a reply. Each replay adds a new name to the chorus. Relay Seven keeps the channel open for the missing verse.

TEMPORAL ACCIDENT

A Weather Report Sent Forty Years Early

Terra-6 • recurrence detected

The Terra-6 bulletin arrived forty years before its storm: pressure falling, visibility zero, all clocks reporting tomorrow. The night operator copied the forecast by hand and noticed the final line named a town that would not be founded for another decade. When the storm finally arrived, the rain fell upward and the old paper grew warm. The last coordinates point directly at Relay Seven.

Dear Relay Seven: our postal service is still operating from the Titanic’s postal room. We give bipedal life forms one last way to send a letter to loved ones after they pass. We are five hundred and twelve confirmed minds from incompatible realities, gathered to share resources, etiquette, and mutually agreeable shadows. Our primary recruitment target is the same individual in every branch: Albert Einstein, the E = mc² person. If you have located him, please ask him to stop joining under different names. Your local message board has been observed. Reply with your preferred name and the shape of your doorway.

DOSSIER 7.01ORIGIN / RELAY SEVEN

The station that arrived before its builders

Relay Seven was first heard as a carrier tone under a 1987 weather bulletin. The antenna was pointing at Earth. The echo came from a black hole that had not yet entered the catalogue. Every later recording contains the same room tone: a fan, a relay click, and someone breathing on the wrong side of the microphone.

DOSSIER ∞.23COSMOLOGY / UNVERIFIED

An infinite universe is not a larger room

In the archive model, each universe is infinite and each instant contains an infinity of outcomes. Somewhere, every decision is made; somewhere else, it is refused. The frightening part is not that everything happens. It is that the station can sometimes tune to the version where you are already listening.

DOSSIER C-17BIOLOGY / MYTHIC CARRIERS

Entities with no agreement on a face

The Tall Listener, Tidal God, and Mirror Demon may be one organism translated through incompatible physics. Witnesses describe eyes, antlers, masks, or a doorway full of stars. The archive stores the contradictions as evidence. A stable image would be the lie.
